インドネシアのジャワ島が原産です。熱帯雨林の樹木などに着生し、蔓性の茎を伸ばします。葉は小さな卵形で対生します。一年中、枝先の花序に短い綿毛に被われた朱赤色の筒状花を咲かせます。 |

イワタバコ科エスキナンサス属の常緑小低木で、学名は Aeschynanthus javanicus。英名はありません。 |

|
The Aeschynanthus javanicus belongs to Gesneriaceae (the African violet family). It is an evergreen shrub that is native to Java, Indonesia. It grows on trees in tropical rainforests, and has a long, spreading vine stem. The leaves are small, ovate, and opposite. Vermilion-red tubular flowers covered with short hairs bloom in inflorescences at the ends of branches all year round. |
