 
 わが国の固有種で、本州の関東地方以西から四国・九州に分布す
る「しもつけそう」の高山変種です。分布は長野県と山梨県に限られ
ます。亜高山帯から高山帯の日あたりのよいところに生え、高さは
３０〜９０センチになります。葉は掌状複葉です。６月から８月ごろ、
茎の先端に小さな濃紅色を咲かせます。痩果に縁毛があることが特
徴です。
バラ科シモツケソウ属の多年草で、学名は Filipendula multijuga var.
ciliata。英名はありません。
"Akabana-shimotsuke-so" (Filipendula multijuga var. ciliata) belongs to
Rosaceae (the Rose family). It is a perennial herb that is endemic to
Japan and distributed to Nagano and Yamanashi prefecture. It is an alpine
variety of "Shimotsuke-so". This herb grows in sub-alpine to alpine sunny
places and can reach 30-90 cm in height. The leaves are palmate
compound. The small dark rose-pink flowers bloom in the terminal clusters
from June to August. It is defined by having border hairs on achenes.
