ヨーロッパが原産です。現在では世界の温帯地域に広く帰化しています。野原や道ばたなどに生え、高さは９０〜１８０センチになります。茎には翼があり、鋭い棘が生えています。根生葉はロゼットを形成し、茎葉は羽状に深裂します。６月から９月ごろ、茎頂にピンク色から赤紫色の頭花を咲かせます。総苞は長卵形でくも毛があり、線形の総苞片は棘状です。 |

キク科アザミ属の二年草で、学名は Cirsium vulgare。英名は Bull thistle。 |

The Bull thistle (Cirsium vulgare) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a biennial herb that is native to Europe. Nowadays, it is naturalized worldwidely in temperate areas. This herb grows in fields and roadsides, and it can reach 90-180 cm in height. The stem has wings with acute spines. The basal leaves form rosette and tha cauline leaves are pinnatifid deeply. The pink to magenta flowerheads come on the stem apices from June to September. The involucre bracts are long-ovate with spiny linear phyllaries and pubescences. |
