Eupatorium greggii

The West Texas mist flower (Eupatorium greggii) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed to the south-western United States; from western Texas to Arizona, and northern Mexico. This herb grows in damp places and can reach a height of about 45 cm. It is similar to "Mist flower", but the leaves are ovate and pinnately split. The inflorescences are borne on the stem apex and axils, and the fluffy lilac flowers bloom from spring to fall. The flowers have a lot of nectar and are a source of nectar for butterflies.
