おやましもつけ (御山下野)

わが国の本州から四国・九州に分布しています。「しもつけ（下野）」の高山型の一品種です。山地の岩礫地に生え、全体に小型で、高さは６０センチほどになります。「しもつけ」よりも小さな葉は卵形から楕円形で互生し、縁には鋭い鋸歯があります。７月から８月ごろ、茎の先の散房花序に濃いピンク色の花を咲かせます。 |

バラ科シモツケ属の落葉小低木で、学名は Spiraea japonica f. alpina (syn. Spiraea japonica var. japonica f. alpina)。英名は Daphne spirea。 |

The Daphne spirea (Spiraea japonica f. alpina) belongs to Rosaceae (the Rose family). It is a deciduous shrub that is distributed from Honshu to Shikoku and Kyushu in Japan. It is an alpine type of the "Japanese spiraea". It grows in rocky and gravelly areas in the mountains and is generally small, reaching a height of about 60 cm. The leaves, which are smaller than those of the "Japanese spiraea", are ovate to elliptic and alternate, with sharp serrations on the edges. |
