ベゴニア・ポリゴノイデス [Index] [Back] 西アフリカや中央アフリカが原産です。高さは４５〜６０センチになります。葉は長楕円形で多肉質、互生します。花は小さな白色で、花後に胞背裂開の�刮ﾊがつきます。これはイギリスの植物学者であったジョセフ・ダルトン・フッカーによって１８７１年、記載されました。  シュウカイドウ科シュウカイドウ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Begonia polygonoides。英名はありません。  Begonia polygonoides belongs to Begoniaceae (the Begonia family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is native to West Africa and Central Africa. This herb can reach heights of 45-90 cm. The leaves are oblong, succulent and alternate. The flowers are small white and will produce loculicidal capsules after flowering.
