ふしぐろ (節黒) [Index] [Back] わが国の各地をはじめ、朝鮮半島や中国東北部、それにアムールやウスリーに分布しています。低地から山地までの日当たりのよい場所に生え、高さは３０〜１００センチになります。茎は直立し、その節は暗紫色を帯びます。葉は披針形から卵状披針形で先端は鋭く尖り、対生します。６月から９月ごろ、茎頂や葉腋に、小さな白色の花を咲かせます。萼筒は卵形から長卵形で、１０脈があります。  ナデシコ科マンテマ属の二年草で、学名は Silene firma。英名はありません。  "Fushiguro" (Silene firma) belongs to the Caryophyllaceae (the Carnation family). It is a biennial herb that is distributed throughout Japan, the Korean Peninsula, northeastern China, Amur and Ussuri region. This herb grows in lowland to mountane sunny places and up to a height of 30-100 cm. The stem is errect and its nodes are tinged dark purple. The leaves are lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, opposite, with acute tips. The small white flowers bloom atop of stems and axils from June to September.
