南アフリカのケープ地方が原産です。直径１５センチほどの小さな多肉質のロゼットになります。これは、窓のあるハオルチア（Windowed haworthia）のなかでも多様性に富んだ種類です。窓とは乾燥と寒さに耐えるために、葉の表面にできた透明なガラス面のこと。小さな白い花を咲かせます。

ユリ科ハオルチア属の常緑多年草で、学名は Haworthia cymbiformis。英名は Cathedral window haworthia。

The Cathedral window haworthia (Haworthia cymbiformis) belongs to Liliaceae (the Lily family). It is an evergreen perennial that is native to the Cape region of South Africa. It is a small fleshy rosette about 15 cm in diameter. This is one of the most diverse of the windowed haworthia. The window is a clear glass surface on the surface of the leaf to withstand drought and cold. It produces small white flowers.
