インドネシアのジャワ島に分布しています。グラウコフィルム種の変種です。山地の雨林に生え、地生します。葉は線状へら形で網目模様があり４〜５個がつきます。一年を通して、花茎を伸ばして、上・下萼片が黄色、側花弁が白色に赤紫色の斑、唇弁が濃ピンク色の花を咲かせます。側花弁が巻き貝状に捩れて横に張るのが特徴です。 |

The Paphiopedilum glaucophyllum var. moquetianum belongs to Orchdaceae (the Orchid family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is distributed in Java, Indonesia. It is a variety of Paphiopedilum glaucophyllum. It grows in the rainforests of mountainous areas and is a terranean plant. The leaves are linear-helical with a reticulate pattern and four to five in number. Throughout the year, it grows a flower stalk and produces flowers with yellow upper and lower sepals, white lateral petals with reddish-purple spots, and dark pink labellum. The lateral petals are twisted into a conch-like shape and stretched horizontally, which is characteristic of this flower. |
