太平洋のポリネシアからメラネシアに分布しています。高さは１〜２メートルになります。葉は広楕円形で先端は鈍頭、縁は全縁、対生します。ほとんど一年中、葉腋に穂状花序をだし、白色の筒状花を咲かせます。花冠は高杯形で、喉部に桃紫色の模様が入ります。

キツネノマゴ科プセウデランテムム属の常緑小低木で、学名は Pseuderanthemum reticulatum var. ovarifolium。英名はありません。

The Pseuderanthemum reticulatum var. ovarifolium belongs to Acanthaceae (the Acanthus family). It is an evergreen shrub that is distributed in the Pacific Ocean from Polynesia to Melanesia. It grows 1-2 m tall. The leaves are broadly elliptic with an obtuse tip and entire margins. Spike inflorescences are produced in the leaf axils almost all year round, producing white tubular flowers. The corolla is high cup-shaped with a peach-purple pattern on the throat.
