カスティレヤ・ミニアタ [Index] [Back] 北アメリカの西部、アラスカ州からオンタリオ州、それにカリフォルニア州からニューメキシコ州に分布しています。海岸から山地までの湿った草地や明るい林に生え、高さは３０〜７５センチになります。茎はふつう分枝しません。葉は平らな披針形で、濃い緑色です。花は黄緑色の筒状花で、鮮やかな赤色から淡い橙色、または先端が橙色の苞葉がつき、６月から７月、８月の半ばまで咲きます。 ゴマノハグサ科カスティレヤ属の多年草で、学名は Castilleja miniata。英名は Slender paintbrush。 The slender paintbrush (Castilleja miniata) belongs to Scrophulariaceae (the Figwort family). It is a perennial herb that is native to western North America from Alaska to Ontario to California to New Mexico. This herb grows in moist meadows, forest openings, from coast to mountains, and it can reach 30-75 cm in height. The stems are usually unbranched. The leaves are flat, lanceolate and deep-green.
