オーストラリアの東部、クイーンズランド州からニューサウスウェールズ州、ビクトリア州に分布しています。山野に広く生え、蔓性で高さは２．５メートルほどになります。葉はほとんどが３出複葉で、小葉は卵形から長楕円状披針形、縁は全縁かまれにわずかな鋸歯があります。また基部が三角状になることもあります。８月から１１月ごろ、白色の花を咲かせます。花弁のように見えるのは萼片で、ときに紫色を帯びることがあります。

キンポウゲ科センニンソウ属の蔓性木本で、学名は Clematis glycinoides。英名は Headache vine、Forest clematis。

The Headache vine (Clematis glycinoides) belongs to Ranunculaceae (the Buttercup family). It is a woody vine that is distributed in the eastern part of Australia, from Queensland to New South Wales and Victoria. It grows widely in the mountains and fields. It is a vine and grows up to 2.5 m tall. The leaves are mostly trifoliate, and the leaflets are ovate to oblong-lanceolate, with entire or rarely slightly serrate margins. White flowers bloom from August to November. The sepals, which look like petals, are sometimes tinged with purple.
