きんこうか (金黄花)

わが国の固有種で、本州の中部地方以北から北海道に分布しています。山地の湿原に生え、高さは２０〜４０センチになります。７月から８月ごろ、花茎を伸ばして総状花序に小さな黄色い花をいっぱい咲かせます。花が終わっても花披片は落ちずに残り、緑色に変わります。 |

ユリ科キンコウカ属の多年草で、学名は Narthecium asiaticum。英名はありません。 |

"Kinkou-ka" (Narthecium asiaticum) belongs to Liliaceae (the Lily family). It is a perennial herb that is endemic to Japan and distributed northward from Chubu district of Honshu to Hokkaido. This herb grows in mountain bogs and can reach 20-40 cm in height. The flowering stalk is borne and the small yellow flowers bloom in the racemes from July to August. The tepals do not fall, remain after flowering and turn into green. |
