 
 ヨーロッパの南東部から西アジアに分布しています。岩礫地に生え、
高さは１５〜２０センチほどでマット状に広がります。葉は狭倒卵形か
ら倒卵形で、白い毛に被われています。４月から６月ごろ、枝先の葉
腋から総状花序をだし、紫色の花を咲かせます。属名は、１８世紀の
フランスの植物画家クロード・オーブリエ（Claude Aubriet）に因みま
す。
アブラナ科オーブリエタ属の多年草で、学名は Aubrieta deltoidea。
英名は Lilacbush, Rock cress, Common aubrieta。
Lilacbush belongs to the Brassiaceae (the Mustard family). It is a perennial
herb that is native to southeastern Europe and West Asia. This herb grows
on rocky slopes and can reach 15-20 cm in height. It spreads like mat. The
leaves are narrow obovate to obovate and covered with white hairs. The
racemes are borne on the terminal axiles and the purple flowers come in
April to June. The genus is named after "Claude Aubriet" French plant
painter in the 18th century.
