The Dalmatian cranesbill (Geranium dalmaticum) belongs to Geraniaceae (the Geranium family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is distributed in the Balkan Peninsula in the eastern part of Europe. This herb grows on the slopes of rocky gravel and can reach 10 to 15 cm in height. The bright green leaves split into five and spread like a mound. From June to July, the flower stalks are stretched and the pale pink five-petaled flowers come in bloom. The red anthers stand out. The English name "Dalmatia" refers to the Adriatic coastal area of Croatia.
