「こひがんざくら（Prunus subhirtella）」の園芸品種です。晩秋から咲き始め、冬のあいだも少しづつ咲き、４月上旬には多く咲きます。花は白色か淡いピンクで、小さな八重咲きです。

バラ科サクラ属の落葉小高木で、学名は Prunus x subhirtella cv. Autumnalis。英名はありません。

"Jugatsu-zakura" (Prunus x subhirtella cv. Autumnalis) belongs to Rosaceae (the Rose family). It is a tall deciduous tree that is a cultivar of Rosebud cherry (Prunus subhirtella). This cherry carries on bloom from late fall to spring. Though the most blooming is in April. Flowers are small double-flowered, white to pale pink.
