南アフリカのウェスタン・ケープ州に分布しています。砂礫地のフィンボス(潅木地帯)に生え、高さは70センチほどになります。葉は羽状複葉で、銀灰色、わずかに毛が生えます。春、茎の先端に銀白色の総苞に包まれた花を咲かせます。 
ヤマモガシ科セルリア属の常緑小低木で、学名は Serruria pedunculata。英名は Fan-leaf spiderhead。 
The Fan-leaf spiderhead (Serruria pedunculata) belongs to the family Proteaceae. It is an evergreen shrub that is distributed in the Western Cape province of South Africa. This shrub grows in the gravel fynbos (shrub area) and is about 70 cm high. The leaves are pinnate compound, silver-gray, with slight hair. In spring, the flowers wrapped in silver-white bracts bloom at the tips of the stems.
