シノブ属は世界に40種ほどが分布しています。樹木の樹皮や岩の割れ目などに生える着生シダ類です。葉状体は3〜4回羽状複葉で、長い地上の根茎から伸びます。本種は、マレー半島のパハン州が原産です。マレーシアのレッドブックにも、脆弱と記載されていますが、詳細な情報はありません。 
シノブ科シノブ属の常緑性シダ類で、学名は Davallia dimorpha (syn. Araiostegia dimorpha)。英名はありません。 
The Davallia dimorpha belongs to the family Davalliaceae. The genus Davallia has about 40 species in the world. They are epiphytic ferns which grow on bark of trees or on rock crevices. The fronds are 3-4 pinnate compound, and arise from long aerial rhizomes. The Davallia dimorpha is native to Pahang in the Malay peninsula. The Malaysia Plant Red List also states that it is vulnerable, but no detailed information is available.
