つのやぶこうじ (角藪柑子) [Index] [Back] インドから東南アジア、中国南部やニューギニア、オーストラリアに分布しています。海岸沿いや河口付近に生え、高さは４メートル以上になります。葉は長さ３〜１０センチの倒卵形、革質、全縁で対生し、微細な斑点があります。花は白色で小さく芳香があり、春から夏ごろ、散形花序に咲きます。果実は曲がりのある円筒状で、淡緑色からピンク色をしています。 ヤブコウジ科ツノヤブコウジ属の常緑低木で、学名は Aegiceras corniculatum。英名は River mangrove。 The River mangrove (Aegiceras corniculatum) belongs to Myrsinaceae (the Myrsine family). It is a small evergreen tree that is distributed from India through Southeast Asia to southern China, New Guinea and Australia. This tree grows in coastal and estuarine areas, and can reach up to 4 m in height. The leaves are alternate, obovate, 3–10 cm long, entire and leathery with minute dotted. The flowers are white, small, fragrant and bloom in the umbels from spring to summer. The fruits are curved-cylindrical and light green to pink in color.
