つれさぎそう (連鷺草) [Index] [Back] わが国の各地をはじめ、中国やネパールに分布しています。低山地の日当たりのよい草地に生え、高さは３５〜６０センチになります。葉は楕円形で、５〜７個が互生します。５月から６月ごろ、強い芳香のある乳白色の花を１０数個咲かせます。花の直径は１．５センチほどで、比較的長い距があります。  ラン科ツレサギソウ属の多年草で、学名は Platanthera japonica。英名はありません。  "Tsuresagi-so" (Platanthera japonica) belongs to Orchidaceae (the Orchid family). It is a perennial herb that is native all over Japan, as well as China and Nepal. This orchid grows in sunny grassland of low mountains, and it can reach 35-60 cm in height. The leaves are elliptic, 5-7 arranged in alternate. The more than a dozen, strong scented, creamy white flowers bloom from May to June.
