南アフリカのケープ地方が原産です。６〜７稜のある柱状で、高さは１メートルほどになります。よく分枝して、赤色の棘があります。小さな黄色い花を咲かせます。和名では「こうさいかく（紅彩閣）」と呼ばれます。

トウダイグサ科トウダイグサ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Euphorbia enopla。英名はありません。
|

|
The Euphorbia enopla belongs to Euphorbiaceae (the Spurge family). It is an evergreen succulent herb that is native to the Cape Province of South Africa. The stem is columnar with 6-7 ridges and can reach about 1 m in height. This herb is much branched and has reddish spines. The small yellow flowers bloom.
