インドネシアのスマトラ島とマレーシアの群島に分布しています。標高1000〜1500メートルの山地帯に生え、樹木などをよじ登ります。葉は楕円形で、軟らかく鮮緑色をしています。葉腋に、明るい赤色の筒状花を咲かせます。 
イワタバコ科アガルミラ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Agalmyla parasitica。英名はありません。 
The Agalmyla parasitica belongs to Gesneriaceae (the African violet family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is distributed in Sumatra Island in Indonesia and the archipelago in Malaysia. It grows in mountainous areas at an altitude of 1000 to 1500 m and climbs trees. The leaves are elliptic, soft and bright green. Bright red tubular flowers come on the axils.
