メキシコを中心に、北アメリカ南部から中央アメリカ、南アメリカ北部に分布しています。およそ１４０種ほどの原種がありますが、種間交雑種も多数作出され、鉢物や庭園の植栽用に広く普及しています。葉は多肉質でロゼットを形成し、カラフルな５弁花を咲かせます。 |

ベンケイソウ科エケベリア属の常緑多年草で、学名は Echeveria sp.（属の総称）。英名は Echeveria。 |

The Echeveria belongs to Crassulaceae (the Orpine family). It is an evergreen herb that is distributed mainly in Mexico, from southern North America to Central America and northern South America. There are about 140 species, but many interspecific hybrids have been produced, and they are widely used for potted plants and garden plants. The leaves are fleshy and form a rosette, and colorful 5-petaled flowers bloom. |
