エレアンツス [Index] [Back] メキシコ、中央・南アメリカそれに西インド諸島が原産です。約１２０種がアンデス高地を中心に分布し、ソブラリア属と近縁の地生または着生ランです。ひとつの花穂に小さな花を咲かせます。花にはコップ状の花弁と萼片、それに筒状の唇弁と短い蕊柱があります。花の色はふつう明るくて目立ち、ハチドリによって受粉されます。  ラン科エレアンツス属の常緑多年草で、学名は Elleanthus sp. (属の総称)。英名はありません。  The Elleanthus genus belongs to the Orchidaceae (the Orchid family). It is an evergreen herb that is native to Mexico, Central America, South America and the West Indies. About 120 species are found mainly in the Andean highlands. It is a epiphytic or terrestrial orchid and closely related to Soblralia genus. They bloom many small flowers on one spikes. The flower is consisted with the cup-shaped petals and sepals, and tubular lip with short column.
