南アフリカが原産です。初夏、花茎を伸ばして２０〜１００センチもある総状花序に、真っ白な花を咲かせます。切り花にすれば１か月ほど長持ちします。 |

ユリ科オーニソガラム属の多年草で、学名は Ornithogalum thyrsoides。英名は Wonder flower、Chincherinchee。 |

The Wonder flower (Ornithogalum thyrsoides) belongs to Liliaceae (the Lily family). It is a perennial herb that is native of South Africa. The white flowers bloom in a long raceme, 20-100 cm long, on the flowering stalk in early summer. If cut into flowers it lasts about a month. |
