「たちつぼすみれ」の花が白色で、距が淡紫色になる品種です。分布域は、母種と同じです。高さは10センチほどになります。4月から5月に花を咲かせます。和名は、箱根の乙女峠で発見されたことに因ります。 
スミレ科スミレ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Viola grypoceras f. purpurellocalcarata。英名はありません。 
"Otome-sumire" (Viola grypoceras f. purpurellocalcarata) belongs to Violaceae (the Viola family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is a variety in which the flowers of "Tachitsubo-sumire" are white and the spur is pale purple. The distribution area is the same as the mother species. The plant height will be about 10 cm. The flowers come in April to May. The Japanese name comes from the fact that it was discovered at Otome Pass in Hakone.
