中国の西南部、四川省から雲南省、チベット自治区の東部に分布しています。枝は細く、稜があります。葉は３出複葉で、倒卵形の小葉の表面は無毛、裏面には柔毛が密生します。すべての葉に托葉があるのが特徴です。３月から４月ごろ、葉腋から長い花梗をのばし、総状花序にピンク色から白色の蝶形花を咲かせます。園芸上は、四川四季咲き雲南はぎ」や「四季咲き雲南はぎ」の名前で流通しています。

マメ科ハナハギ属の落葉低木で、学名は Campylotropis polyantha。英名はありません。

Campylotropis polyantha belongs to Fabaceae (the Pea family). It is a small deciduous tree that is native to south-western China; Shchuan, Yunnan and eastern Tibet Autonomous Region. This tree has slender, ridged branches. The leaves are trifoliate, glabrous above and condensed soft hairy on abaxial sides. It is defined by the stipules which arranged on every leaves. The flowers are pink to white papilionacenous, and bloom in the racemes which bear on the long axillary peduncles from March to April.
