マレー半島からスマトラ島、カリマンタン島に分布しています。着生ランで、卵形のバルブに、線状長楕円形の厚い葉をつけます。秋から冬にかけて、花茎の先に淡い黄色の花を咲かせます。側萼片が糸状に長く伸び、仏具の払子（ほっす）を思わせます。

ラン科ブルボフィルム属の常緑多年草で、学名は Bulbophyllum medusae。英名はありません。

The Bulbophyllum medusae belongs to Orchidaceae (the Orchid family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is distributed from the Malay Peninsula to Sumatra and Kalimantan. It is an epiphytic orchid with egg-shaped bulbs and thick linear oblong leaves. Pale yellow flowers bloom at the tips of the flower stalks from fall to winter. The lateral sepals are long and thread-like, reminiscent of a "hossu" (Buddhist altar fittings).
