ふじのかんあおい (藤野寒葵) [Index] [Back] わが国の奄美大島の固有種です。山地のやや湿ったところに生え、高さは１０〜２０センチになります。葉は卵形で革質、雲紋はありません。１２月から５月ごろ、大きな緑色がかった紫色の花を咲かせます。 ウマノスズクサ科カンアオイ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Heterotropa fudsinoi (syn. Asarum fudsinoi)。英名はありません。 "Fujino-kan-aoi" (Heterotropa fudsinoi) belongs to Aristolochiaceae (the Birthwort family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is endemic to Amami Island in Japan. This herb grows on wettish places in forests, and it can reach 10-20 cm in height. The leaves are ovate, leathery and having not cloudlike mottles on the surface.
