"Haimatsu-goke" (Vulpicida juniperinus) belongs to the Parmeliaceae family. It is a lichen that is distributed to Hokkaido, Honshu and Shikoku in Japan, as well as widely in temperate and boreal regions of the Northern Hemisphere. This lichen often grows on the twigs of "Dwarf Siberian pine" in the alpine zone. It is a bright yellow foliose lichen and produces soredia (loosely entwined hyphae of symbiotic bacteria and multiple algae cells) on the edges of the lobes.
