ハートかずら (ハート葛) [Index] [Back] 南アフリカやスワジランド、ジンバブエが原産の蔓性植物です。岩場に生え、長さは２〜４メートルになります。葉はハート形で、濃緑色から淡緑色、多肉質です。６月から８月ごろ、濃い紫色の花を咲かせます。年を経ると、茎の基部が厚く木化します。 ガガイモ科ケロペギア属の常緑多年草で、学名は Ceropegia woodii。英名は Chain of hearts、Collar of hearts。 The chain of hearts (Ceropegia woodii) belongs to Asclepiadaceae (the Milkweed family). It is an evergreen trailing vine that is native to South Africa, Swaziland, and Zimbabwe. This herb grows on the rocky places, and can reach up to 2-4 m in length. The leaves are heart-shaped, deep green to pale green, and succulent. The deep purple flowers bloom from June to August.
