The Himalayan fleeceflower (Persicaria affinis) belongs to Polygonaceae (the Knotweed family). It is a perennial herb that is native to Nepal and Yunnan province of China. This herb grows in alpine screes at altitudes between 3000 and 4800 m, submontane districts of the Himalayas, and can reach 20-25 cm in height.
