The Cusick's camas (Camassia cusickii) belongs to Liliaceae (the Lily family). It is a perennial herb that is found in the northwestern United States, from Oregon to Idaho. It grows in sunny locations and produces narrow lanceolate leaves about 45 cm long from ovate bulbs. From May to June, it produces pale blue, star-shaped flowers in a raceme at the end of a 1 m long flower stalk. The above-ground parts die back in summer.
