がんぜきらん (岩石蘭) [Index] [Back] わが国の本州南部から四国・九州、台湾、中国南部それに南東アジアからインドに分布しています。常緑樹林内の林床に生え、高さは５０センチほどなります。葉は数個が偽球茎の先端から伸び、楕円形で大きく、少し縦しわがあります。初夏に、偽球茎の基部の横から花茎を伸ばし、先端に十数個の花を咲かせます。花弁は鮮やかな黄色です。台湾華語では「黄花鶴頂蘭」、中国語では「黄花鶴頂蘭（huang hua he ding lan）」と呼ばれます。 ラン科ガンゼキラン属の常緑多年草で、学名は Phaius flavus (syn. Paraphaius flavus)。英名は Yellow crane orchid。 The Yellow crane orchid (Phaius flavus) belongs to Orchdaceae (the Orchid family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is distributed from southern Honshu to Shikoku and Kyushu in Japan, Taiwan, southern China, and from Southeast Asia to India. It grows on the forest floor within evergreen forests, reaching a height of about 50 cm. Several leaves extend from the tip of the pseudobulb; they are large, elliptical, and slightly wrinkled lengthwise. In early summer, it extends a scape horizontally from the base of the pseudobulb, bearing a dozen or so flowers at its tip. The petals are a vivid yellow.
