Variegata。英名は Variegated chameleon plant。
Variegated chameleon plant (Houttuynia cordata cv. Variegata) belongs to the Saururaceae (Lizard's-tail family). It is a cultivated variety of Tsi that is native throughout Japan and East Asia. The variegated variety produced in the Edo period (about 200 years ago) spread to Europe and became popular under the name of "Chameleon plant". It spread to Japan in the form of reverse import. The flowers will bloom from May to July. The flower lacks petals, instead it has white petallike involucres.
