こぶみかん (瘤蜜柑) [Index] [Back] 南東アジアと中国南部の熱帯地方が原産です。高さは２〜１１メートルになります。葉は砂時計の形をしていて、葉身と平らな葉のような翼のある葉柄があります。果実は粗く緑色、でこぼこで直径約４センチで、黄色に熟します。その果実と葉は東南アジア料理で使用され、エッセンシャルオイルは香水として使用されます。  ミカン科ミカン属の常緑低木で、学名は Citrus hystrix。英名は Kaffir lime、Makrut lime。  The Kaffir lime (Citrus hystrix) belongs to Rutaceae (the Citrus family). It is a small evergreen tree that is native to tropical Southeast Asia and southern China. This tree grows up to a height of 2-11 m. The leaves are hourglass-shaped, comprise the leaf blade plus a flattened, leaf-like winged petiole. The fruit is rough and green, bumpy, about 4 cm in diameter, and ripens to yellow.
