コプシア・フラウィダ [Index] [Back] フィリピンからインドネシアのマルク州、ニューギニア、ソロモン諸島、バヌアツそれにミクロネシアに分布しています。熱帯雨林に生え、高さは９〜１５メートルになります。樹皮は褐色または灰色で、平滑です。葉は長楕円形で対生し、縁は波状にうねります。花は白色で２出集散花序に咲きます。果実は長楕円形の核果で、長さ２．５センチほど、オリーブに似ています。最初は緑色で、熟すと青黒く光沢を帯びます。 キョウチクトウ科コプシア属の常緑中高木で、学名は Kopsia flavida。英名はありません。 The Kopsia flavida belongs to Apocynaceae (the Dogbane family). It is a semi-tall evergreen tree that is native to the Philippines, Maluku, New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and Micronesia. This tree grows in tropical rain forests and can reach 9-15 m in height. The bark is brown or gray and smooth. The leaves are opposite, oblong with wavy edges. The white flowers bloom in the dichasial inflorescence. The fruit is oblong drupe, about 2.5 cm long, resembling an olive. Initially green, it turns glossy blue-black when ripe.
