ブラジルの南東部が原産です。蔓性で長さは２〜３メートルになります。葉は卵形で、光沢のある濃緑色をしています。夏にローズピンク色の漏斗形の花を咲かせます。花冠は５裂し、咽は黄色です。写真は園芸品種の「ロセア（cv. Rosea）」。

The Brazilian jasmine (Mandevilla sanderi) belongs to belongs to Apocynaceae (the Dogbane family). It is an evergreen woody vine that is native to southeastern Brazil. It is a vine that grows 2 to 3 m long. The leaves are ovate and glossy dark green. It produces rose-pink funnel-shaped flowers in summer. The corolla is five lobed and the throat is yellow. The photo shows the garden variety 'Rosea'.
