カヤツリグサ科スゲ属の多年草で、学名は Carex dolichostachya var. glaberrima (syn. Carex multifolia)。英名はありません。
The "Miyama-kansuge" (Carex dolichostachya var. glaberrima) belongs to Cyperaceae (the Sedge family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed throughout Japan. This herb grows on the forest floors and the forest edge of the hills to mountains, and up to a height of 20-50 cm. It will make a relatively large stock. The leaves are linear, 5-7 mm width, and the section is gentle M shape. The base of the stock becomes bright reddish-purple. It extends the clums and bears spikes sparsely. The acrogyrous spike is male, and the following pleurogerous spikes are female.
