This herb grows along the ground under scrubby bushes, and can reach about 15 cm in height. It is a mat-forming perennial succulent with creeping shoots growing prostrate along the ground. The leaves are globose or depressed-globose, with a short mucro (beak) at the end opposite the points of attachment to the stems.
