台湾の南東部、蘭嶼島（Lan Yu）の固有種です。雨林の林内に生え、樹幹や岩上に着生します。葉は長楕円形から楕円形で対生または輪生します。縁には鋭い鋸歯があります。上部の葉腋に紫色や淡紅色、白色または黄色の花を咲かせます。花冠は唇形で、上唇が２裂、下唇が３裂します。 |

イワタバコ科シシンラン属の常緑小低木で、学名は Lysionotus pauciflorus var. ikedae。英名はありません。 |

The Lysionotus pauciflorus var. ikedae belongs to Gesneriaceae (the African violet family). It is an evergreen small shrub that is endemic to the Lan Yu Island, in the southeast of Taiwan. This shrub is an epiphyte that occurs on rocks or tree trunks in rainforests. Leaves are oblong to elliptic, opposite or whorled with acute toothed edges. Flowers are purple, pale pink, white or yellow on the upper axils. Corolla is labiate, upper lip 2-lobed and lower lip 3-lobed. |
