りゅうきゅうえびね (琉球海老根)

わが国の九州、屋久島・種子島から沖縄、台湾に分布しています。地生ランで、夏咲きの「えびね（海老根）」です。７月から９月ごろ、長さ４０〜８０センチの花茎を伸ばして、先端の総状花序に花を咲かせます。花の色は純白色からピンク色、紅色、濃い紫色などと変化に富んでいます。 |

ラン科エビネ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Calanthe okinawensis。英名はありません。 |

The Calanthe okinawensis belongs to Orchidaceae (the Orchid family). It is an evergreen herb that is distributed to Kyushu in Japan, from Yakushima, Tanegashima to the Okinawa islands, as well as Taiwan. This herb is a terrestrial Orchids and summer blooming "Ebine". The flower stalks of 40-80 cm in length are extended from July to September, and the flowers will bloom in the terminal racemes. The flower-colors are rich in pure white to pink, crimson, dark purple and so on. |
