中国原産の「まだけ（真竹）」の一品種です。桿に縦の深い皺があり、節部がやや膨れているのが特徴です。肉厚があり、茶杓や花器などに利用されます。 |

イネ科マダケ属のタケ類で、学名は Phyllostachys bambusoides f. marliacea。英名は Wrinkled bamboo。 |

The Wrinkled bamboo (Phyllostachys bambusoides f. marliacea) belongs to Poaceae (the Grass family). It is a form of "Giant timber bamboo" native to China. The culms have vertical deep wrinkles and some swollen nodes. The timbers are thick and used as a bamboo teaspoon and bamboo flower vessel. |
