スパイニーゴールデンブッシュ [Index] [Back] アメリカの西部が原産です。低地の砂地や岩場、道ばた、平地、プレーリー、丘の中腹などに生え、高さは１０〜１００センチになります。葉は長さ７．５センチまでで、全体的には披針形、先端が棘状の狭い線形に分裂します。葉の色は赤みを帯びたものから緑色です。黄色い頭花が春から秋に咲きます。舌状花はふつう１４〜６０個、筒状花は３０〜１５０個があります。頭花には、短くて狭い、先端が尖った総苞片が５〜６列つきます。  キク科クサンティスマ属の多年草で、学名は Xanthisma spinulosum。英名は Spiny goldenbush。  The spiny goldenbush (Xanthisma spinulosum) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is native to the western United States. This herb grows in sandy or rocky washes, roadsides, plains, prairie, hillsides, and can reach 10-100 cm in height. The leaves are up to 7.5 cm long; lanceolate overall, divided into narrow, linear, spine-topped lobes. They are reddish to green in color. The yellow flower-heads bloom from spring to fall. The ray florets usually number between 14-60, disc florets between 30-150.
