The Hybrid dandelion (Taraxacum hybridum) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is an interspecific hybrid between the dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) that is native of Europe and the native dandelions that grow in lowlands. In recent years, it can be found widely in urban areas. This herb grows in vacant lots and can reach about 20 cm in height. The host species are the triploids dandelion and the diploids native dandelion. The crosses are tetraploid hybrids, triploid hybrids and androgenesis hybrids. It is defined by moderately-recurving outer involucal bracts.
