Euphorbia gottlebei

The Euphorbia gottlebei belongs to Euphorbiaceae (the Spurge family). It is an evergreen herb that is endemic to south-west Madagascar. This herb grows on limestone slopes of the Fiherenana valley, and it can reach about 1m in height. It closely resembles Crown of thorns (Euphorbia millii), though it has more slender leaves and more thin spines. This herb blooms small rose red flowers through the year.
