The Creeping spurge (Euphorbia myrsinites) belongs to Euphorbiaceae (the Spurge family). It is an evergreen herb that is distributed from the Mediterranean coast of Europe to Turkey and Iran. The stem crawls on the ground and is about 35 cm high. The leaves are ovate, with sharp tips and whorled. From April to July, cyathia are borne on the shoot apex and small flowers bloom. The bracts that turn yellowish green stand out. It is planted in rock gardens, but the milk that comes out when it is scratched will sore the skin.
