ゆうがぎく (柚香菊) [Index] [Back] わが国の本州、近畿地方以北に分布しています。山野に生え、高さは５０〜１５０センチになります。地下茎を伸ばして広がります。葉は卵状長楕円形から長楕円形で、羽状に浅裂から中裂します。花に近いところでは苞状葉となります。７月から１０月ごろ、枝先に直径２５ミリほどの白色から淡青紫色の頭花を咲かせます。名前の由来は不明です。  キク科シオン属の多年草で、学名は Aster iinumae。英名はありません。  "Yuuga-giku" (Aster iinumae) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed northward from Kinki district of Honshu in Japan. This herb grows in fields or mountains and can reach 50-150 cm in height. It spreads by underground roots. The leaves are ovate-oblong to oblong and divided into lobes pinnately. They are bract-like near flower-heads.
