おとぎりそう (弟切草)

わが国の各地をはじめ、朝鮮半島や千島列島、サハリンに分布しています。日当たりのよい山野に生え、高さは３０〜６０センチになります。葉は広披針形で対生し、基部はやや茎を抱きます。葉の全体に黒点が多く、縁にも黒点があります。７月から９月ごろ、黄色い花を咲かせます。花弁は倒卵形でやや巴状にゆがみ、黒点と黒線があります。葉を油に浸したものは、切り傷や神経痛などの民間薬として利用されます。 |

オトギリソウ科オトギリソウ属の多年草で、学名は Hypericum erectum。英名はありません。 |

"Otogiri-so" (Hypericum erectum) belongs to the Clusiaceae family. It is a perennial herb that is native to Japan, as well as the Korean Peninsula, the Kuril Islands and Sakhalin. This herb grows in sunny hills and fields, and can reach 30-60 cm in height. The leaves are broad lanceolate, opposite and slightly enfold stems at the bases. The black gland dots are scattered on the surface and edge of leaves. The yellow flowers appear from July to September. The petals are obovate, triskelion-shaped and have black gland dots and black gland stripes. THe leaves are used as a traditional remedy for incisure or neuralgia. |
