 
 ヨーロッパの西部、地中海沿岸が原産です。石灰岩地の丘陵や草
地などに生え、高さは１０〜３０センチになります。葉は糸状で直立し
ます。４月ごろ、花茎を伸ばして、先端に数個の淡黄色の花を咲か
せます。花には強い芳香があります。
ユリ科スイセン属の多年草で、学名は Narcissus jonquilla。
英名は Jonquilla narcissus。
Jonquilla narcissus (Narcissus jonquilla) belongs to the Liliaceae (the Lily
family). It is a perennial herb that is native to western Europe; the coastal
areas of the Mediterranean Sea. This herb grows in calcareous hills or
grasslands, and can reach 10-30 cm in height. The leaves are filiform and
erect. The flowering stalks are borne and the several pale yellow flowers
bloom on the top of stalks in April. The flowers have a strong scent.
